Manual Transmission problem

I have a 1999 mustang standard 3.8 v6 with manual transmission has 80k miles on it. It doesnt happen all the time but when I try and put it into reverse it will grind. Im told that my reverse synchronizer might be going bad if so how would I fix that and how much would it cost to fix?

Hi,
I have a 1987 5.0 that does the same thing. I really don't worry about it. What I do is; beofre I put it into reverse, I put it into 4th gear for like 2 seconds then put it in reverse. This should stop the grinding.
