My son has a 2005 Ford Mustang and when it has been sitting for a day or so, when first cranked and placed in reverse to leave the driveway, the car will jerk or jump when placed into reverse. Is this a transmission that needs servicing or something more serious?

Thanks.

Im sure is not a trans tune up thing but possibly a sensor on trans. You can get it checked for free at a aamco transmission shop, it can also well be that it has a bad transmission mount or one of the motor mounts. But with those low miles I wonder. Hard to say since im not testing the car. Take it to aamco.
