Help my Mustang

I need some help with my 2000 Ford Mustang.
The mileage is 84,000.
Last night when I drove my car, it seemed sluggish, and it seemed to sputter. The tail pipe smell was strong. It seems to miss really bad.
It starts up with no trouble and will drive, put really misses.
Could someone send me an e-mail with some suggestions?
Also, the check engine light flashed 25 times. I have been told that is a computer code.

Take it to a local autoparts store where they will scan it for free, MAKE SURE you get the code, post it back here, maybe someone can help. Do not buy any parts, yet, while you are there.
