I AM TAKING OUT A 5.O AUTOMATIC AND REPLACING IT WITH A 5.0 WITH A 5 SPEED. I HAVE A WIRING PROBLEM. I CHANGED THE ECM TO THE ONE WITH THE 5 SPEED. MY WIRING SEEMS TO BE OK FROM THE ECM TO THE FUSE BOX, MY WIRING ON THE ENGINE SEEMS TO BE OK, THE PROBLEM COMES IN WHEN YOU HOOK THE HARNESS UP THAT CONNECTS TO YOUR ENGINE HARNESS WILL NOT HOOK UP TO TRANSMISSION BECAUSE OF WRONG SIZE CONNECTOR, THIS HARNESS IS THE ONE THAT CONNECTS TO THE ENGINE HARNESS AND THE TRANSMISSION, THEN GOES AROUND TO THE LIGHTS AND CIRCUIT BREAKER. MY QUESTION IS WHEN SWITCHING OVER TO A 5 SPEED, WHAT WIRING HARNESSES NEED TO BE CHANGED?

There could be several differences with the two harnesses, especially since you are dealing with a Ford. Usually just a trans harness wil do it, maybe move a few wires around in the ECM connector. Check out a few Mustang sites, you will find what you seek there for sure
