Firing order for 289

I need the firing order for a 289 in a 82 mustang. The owner pulled out the distributor and did not mark it. He thinks its a 302 but I discovered it is a 289. Can anyone help.? [/Quote][/url][/b]

Standing in front of the car, looking at the engine. On the left side, the passenger side, starting with the first cyl, closes to the radiator, it is 1, 2, 3, 4, and on the right side, the drivers side it is 5, 6, 7, 8 the firing order is 15426378 I hope this helps. Remember the dist goes counter clockwise.
