I own a 04 cobra mustang and I accelerated hard getting on the freeway and my car all the suddend started running poor and I lost all the boost from my supercharger. I opened the hood and it looks like I still have my belts. I then drove to work and when I got there I opened my hood again and I saw an oil leak, I followed the leak and it is comming from where my cold air intake is attached, I removed the CAI and saw oil leaking from my air intake. My car will not idle properly, if I dont give it gas it will idle for a couple seconds and just die. My supercharger belt turns when I hit the gas and my throttle body opens but according to my boost gauge I am not producing any boost. Please help, what is wrong with my car. I just had a new supercharger intstalled 5 days ago, it is the same type of eaton that the cobra came with, my original eaton supercharger had the impellers get damaged, thats why I had to get a new one. Could the install of the new supercharger have anything to do with what is causing the problem with my car now? I am hurting for money and hope it is not a big problem but I am sure it is. I have horrible luck. I am a firefighter so I am stuck at work all day today, when I get off tomarrow morning will I be ok to drive it approx 25 miles home then 10 miles to the repair shop on Monday. I understand you are just giving me your best guess so if you say yes and my car breaks, its ok, I understand, I would not be angry with you, I am just looking for your professional opinion. If you need any additional info I would be happy to give it to you. Thank you very much for your time sir.
Respectfully,
Mike Karras

Look for the allen head screw on the front, on factory unit anyway, of the supercharger, remove it and check to see if there is any oil in it! The oil in your intake could be due to a seal blowing in the SC. If the SC isn't routing air properly you will have all these symtoms, Can I drive it? Check that oil fisrt! If it's empty, have the people who installed it TOW it. Should be free.

First, I want to thank you very much for answering my question. I really appreciate it. Also, yes, you are more then welcome to drive my car. I opened up the front with the allen wrench, there is oil in there. The hole looks about 1/3 full. What should I do or think about next? I just am worried about where the oil would be comming from. Once again, thank you very much for your time sir.

I dont know if this helps or not, but the oil that is comming out of the intake is pitch black.
