Noises problem
2002 Ford Mustang 6 cyl Automatic 99000 miles

i drive a 2002 mustang v6. i was driving on the high way when all of a sudden i heard a loud noise. i turned down the radio and took my foot off the accelerator. only to find out every time i put my foot on it is when it gets loud. i didnt here a pop or anything! could be that i need an oil change?

does it get louder with the increased rpms? is it any louder at idle? do you think it is an exhaust problem like a hole in the muffler or a crack in the tubing? please describe a little more.
