Just bought a 2000 Mustang. When I start our car it makes a loud tick tick tick sound for the first 30 seconds or so. I am being told this is the lifters leaking until oil pressure is up. My question is this.I am being told that alot of fords v6 do this and to not worry that it can run for years like this. It this true? And About how much would it be to repair this in a shop?

First change the oil and put on a good filter no cheap ones ever on a ford and a good anti drain valve on the filter is a must. When I change the oil I would put some Seafoam or Marvel Mystery oil in with the oil change. If this don't fix it then lifters will be in order or it will harm the cam. Thanks and have a Happy New Year. Let me know how it goes.
