1999 Ford Mustang 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I just had the transmission rebuilt and the transmission tech/mechanic said my tps had to be replaced. I replaced it with one from AZ but when we took the car back for its follow up, the codes still show a bad tps. What did I do wrong? Also the car just wants to jump forward when I put into drive

Having a stored code for a TPS problem does not automatically mean you need a new TPS. It merely means that the computer has seen a specific voltage reading that was not expected. The problem can be the sensor itself, any of the associated wiring, the PCM or the base idle adjustment. It really needs to be checked out more thoroughly to determine what the issue is.
