1993 Ford Mustang temperature sensor

Where is the temperature sensor located. I can not find it. The guage in the dash bairly moves. I am getting bad gas milage and can not find the problem.

The engine coolant temperature sensor is located in the heater hose near the fire wall on the right side, in a metal tube in the hose. It will have a plug leading into the wiring harness plugged into it. You will likely need to remove the tube and clamp it into a vice to get it loose.
