What oil viscosity should I use in my car? It has about 35000 miles on it and I live in a cold climate. However, the car is stored in the winter. I've been hearing a lot about how 20w50 can add more protection, but have been hearing many different opinions. Which do you think is best for my Mustang which is driven in temperatures from 37 to 90 degrees.

20w50? That wouldnt be good unless its constantly 100 degrees, that would be so thick during 30 degree weather that it would actually harm your vehicle due to little oil that would move around at that temperature.

For your temp range I suggest 10w30 or 5w30.
