1985 Ford Mustang 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I am trying to find out what is making a noise around my panel that sounds like flowing fluid. My car also recently started to get hot even though the fluids are good

You may have air in the coolant system. Have the coolant system pressure tested. Have cylinders compression tested. Check for leaks. Check/replace thermostat. You could have the coolant system flushed to clear any blockages !
