Hello again,

Thanks for the great help before.

Another issue cropped up and that is my front end.

driving without breaking no shaking, no pulling to either side.

when I apply the brakes the front shakes. Mechanic told me that it was the rear axle seal causing rear brakes to shake? I have no idea how that has anything to do with the front, but I needed to repair it anyway so it was repaired and no change to the problem. However, this is somthing that started all of a sudden. All of the brakes were replaced and the wheel cylinders rebuilt. He told me everything in front end was tight.

the shaking motion is not a side to side or up and down but more like a front to back motion. Is it possible the shocks are bad? I had the front end aligned when I got new tires last year and tread wear is very even nothing at all unusual about it.

also when I had the car inspected last month they noted nothing unusual about the front end everything looked good

Hi there,

I presume that this early ford has front discs and rear drums, If so have the front rotors check for run out and if there is enough thickness do to so, have them machined true, Ford have a specific method to adjust front wheel bearings, if not done correctly you will get a vibration, also check suspension & steering to be safe.
