What is the recommendation on changing the trans fluid

Do you have a 6 speed auto or the CVT trans. CVT is service for life. 6 speed auto is every 30,000. But if it's a CVT it doesn't take normal trans fluid. BE VERY CAREFUL!

Motorcraft: 6F9Z7000BRM (this is a remanufactured unit)

Fluid: XT-7-QCFT (it’s specific to only the CFT30)
Quantity: 10qt. Full / 5qt. Partial (unit has torque converter)

Filters: two - pan and high pressure
Ford Filter P/N: 5F9ZA098B (pan)
Motorcraft Filter P/N: FT162 (pan), FT169 (high pressure kit w/o-rings)

Schedule:
Normal; 60K miles (fluid+filter?)
Severe Duty; 30K miles (details not specified)

Ok, you have a CVT transmission. I'll be honest-- I worked at a Ford dealership and went to school specifically for this transmission. The bad thing is they only made this trans for three years. Even after going to school for this trans, I still don't want to work on it. It is extremely touchy and too much can go wrong, if EVERYTHING is not done right. If anything goes wrong with it, the entire internal components must be replaced. You might want to consider taking it to a Ford dealer to have it serviced. It's worth the money.
