Electrical problem
2004 Ford Focus 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I HAVE A 2004 FORD FOCUS AND WHEN I AM ACCELERATING IT MAKES THIS CLICKING NOISE BUT ONLY DOES IT RANDOMLY. THERE ARE DAYS AT A TIME WHEN IT WONT DO IT AND IT RUNS PERFECT. WHEN IT CLICKS THE LIGHTS AND THE RADIO FLICKER ON AND OFF AND OCCASIONALLY THE CAR WILL JUMP OR HESITATE. IT ALSO TENDS TO DO IT ALOT WHEN IM LOW ON GAS AND WHEN IM NOT IT DOESNT DO IT AS MUCH. ALSO THE AIR BAG LIGHT WILL START FLASHING AND THEN STAY ON. IN THE PAST WEEK I HAD TO GET SOMEONE TO JUMP START IT BUT IM NOT SURE IF ALL THIS IS BECAUSE OF THE BATTERY OR A SEPERATE ISSUE ALL TOGETHER. I AM GOING TO REPLACE THE BATTERY TODAY. ANY ADVICE? HELP PLEASE I DONT WANT TO SPEND MONEY I DONT HAVE REPLACING PARTS THAT ARE NOT THE ISSUE

If the battery is original, it is due anyways. Without being able to hear the clicking, I suggest checking the serpentine belt tensioner to make sure it isn't sticking and causing a lack of consistent rotation of the alternater. The alternater needs to be moving to keep charging. Weird issues happen when it doesn't charge and may be related to the lights.

How many miles are on it?

It has about 90,000 miles on it. A few days after I changed the battery it started with the clicking noise again
