HOW DO YOU REMOVE THE CV AXEL IN ORDER TO INSERT THE BEARINGS

Loosen the strut and spring assembly mounting nuts by 4 turns.
Remove or disconnect the following:

Front wheel
Hub retainer nut. Mark the nut.
Lower ball joint

Press the stub shaft out of the wheel hub.
Separate the inner CV-joint from the transaxle as follows:

use Halfshaft Remover 205-241 and a slide hammer

To install:

NOTE
Replace the circlip for assembly.

Install the halfshaft inner joint so that the circlip is felt to seat. Draw the stub shaft into the wheel hub with Halfshaft Installer 205-379.
Install or connect the following:

Lower ball joint. Tighten the pinch bolt to 37 ft. Lbs. (50 Nm).
Hub retainer nut. Tighten the nut to 232 ft. Lbs. (316 Nm).
Front wheel

Check the transaxle fluid and add, as necessary.
Tighten the strut center nuts to 35 ft. Lbs. (48 Nm).
