My daughter took her car to have the oil change (she's 27 and has been doing her own oil changes for almost 10 years - just didn't have enough time) - anyway her rear driver tire is worn on the inside - the mechanic said she needed to replace her struts - there is no noise when driving, no unusual bounce when driving -- I'm thinking it just needs a rear wheel alignment. Is there anything other than tire wear to confirm whether the struts are bad?

Bounce that conror of car. Vehicle should stop bouncing almost instantly and just go down to normal spot or up. If it keeps bouncing, oil is leaking from the strut. Or if the vehicle sits too low after bouncing it the strut is bad.
