2000 Ford Focus ZTS -

Has trouble accelerating ( low acceleration) - using
more gas. Was misfiring but had spark plugs replaced
--Need valve gasket cover replaced as oil is leaking
-- had run it low on gas sometimes and had to use
fuel inj ector cleaner solution but don't know if that
info is uselful. Fuel pump replaced a year ago.
Do I need a compression check? What else?

Is the check engine light on? A compression test isnt a bad idea, although you only have 62,000 on it you never now, maybe it jumped time by a tooth or two! First check the catalytic converter for damage, when the engine was misfiring, it may have ruined the cat.
