Transmission issues car is a lemon

I have been having issues with my car since I purchased it, and I am wondering if any of you have filed a lemon law claim over similar issues. Basically, it has had transmission issues from the get-go. The main issue being that the acceleration will randomly go super slowly, and sometimes it will not start. Brought the car to the dealership repeatedly, but the problem has never been fixed. I read on this blog that other users have filed claims:

Anyway, if any of you have had issues with this car model? do you have any advice about looking into filing a claim? I am wary of lawyers, honestly, but I am at my wits end here.

Check the laws and legal options in your country/state. Some have tough laws on vehicles that are problems. Others are pretty much, "you bought it it is yours".
I would start by calling the regional Ford representative and see whet they will do. If you get nothing there then move up to Fords customer relations people. They might be able to get things done better. It also might be a good idea to try a different dealer, some are more helpful than others.

Well if you are in North Carolina, then you had thirty days from when you bought the car to file a lemon law claim. And you had to buy it brand new for that. So you are out of luck if you are in North Carolina or a state with similar laws. As far as what to do, definitely do what Steve suggests and call Ford and complain. My brother had a problem with his rear differential in an AWD Chevrolet Equinox that he had bought slightly used (maybe a year old at the time) and the differential started grinding about 2,000 miles after the warranty expired. He called Chevrolet and went back and forth with them for a couple of days. They decided to pay for the repair completely and give him a loaner car for a few days.

So basically, try resolving it that way because the manufacturer will probably help you out.
