1991 Ford Festiva front wheel bearings

I have the front wheel bearings removed but am wondering if I need a press to install the new bearings or can I seat them with a punch/hammer and how much "slop" should I leave for heat expansion?

Let me tell u a little story my helper didn’t wont wait for the press and he decided to use the hammer
I was walking by as a small piece flew and hit me in the hand
needless to say I lost that hand for 4 weeks for a surgery
all because he didn’t wait
so have it pressed
