Engine Performance problem
1995 Ford Falcon 6 cyl Automatic 324000 miles

Hello, I have a Ford Falcon GLi 1995 that runs on LPG and I'm having a little bit of a problem with it. I left it parked for fourd days while I was away and yesterday when I tried to turn it on the engine just took a couple of minutes to go (the electric part is working but the engine doesn't seem to start revving). After a lot of tries the car started but I heard a very loud noise coming from the engine (like the sound you would hear if you hit a piece of metal with a hammer) and it is working but it's behaving strangelly: there's this loud on the engine and the car sounds like it is working pretty hard when it's just on N.

Hi there,

Is this a LPG only or LPG/petrol engine.

Sorry, it's a LPG/Petrol engine but to be honest I rarely use Petrol (sometimes just for 5 15minutes/day but 95% of the time I'm just using LPG).

HI there,

These start on petrol and have auto switch over to LPG, you may have a lack of fuel pressure, I would try turning on the ignition and listen for the fuel pump to run, if you can't hear it that will be your problem, if it's running (it will shut off after about 3 sec) power up twice to build up rail pressure and try starting, let me know how that works.
