I have a small rear main seal leak. It doesn't amount to much aside from a few drops daily on the driveway. Knowing that, I have three questions:

1. Is it worth fixing?
2. Is there anything I can put in the oil to stop the leak and, if so, is it safe for the engine?
3. What is the approximate cost to repair a rear main seal?

Thank you very much!

A rear main leak on a 7.3 diesel was a very rare even though it was always diagnoised as that. You need to make sure that the oil leak is not coming from above on the top of the engine. You will need to get an oil tracer and monitor that the oil leak isn't coming from atop.
