2001 Ford F350 Engine idles while accelerator pedal is depr

While in a stand still mode the engine idles as normal: however when the accelerator is depressed there is no effect on the rpm of the engine. This is an intermitting proplem. Occurs only rarely, and after three-four accelerator depressions the problem goes away.

Check and test the throttle position and clean out the MAf sensor with an approved cleaner.

Disregard the MAF sensor it doesn't have one-Check and test the Accelerator pedal position sensor located under left side of dash above brake pedal
