When my truck shifts it has always been like it had a pre shift before locking in. I have noticed lately that when it locks in I hear a sound coming from it. It has gotten worse and I can now feel a viabration in the floorboard when hearing the noise. It does not last long 1-3 seconds then goes away. I do notice it worse when pulling a trailer.

If it is shuddering in between gears, I would have it looked at before it quits working all together. That sounds like the clutches slipping (chattering) between shifts, could do damage to the trans internally.

Hello, it is possib le that the torque oconverter is going bad. Causing a vibration whe the trucks acts up try and shut the over drive light off on the shifter if the vibration stops it is the torque converter. Let me know if this helps pat
