1999 Ford F350 power steering

While backing my truck out of the parking lot I all of a sudden lost my power steering. At this point it takes two hands to make a turn. Does this mean I will have to replace the power steering pump? If so, approxmiately how much does a pump cost and how much is an average cost for installation? I would appreciate a prompt answer because this is my work vehicle and I need to get it repaired promptly so I can return to work. Thank you.

Did you by chance loose the belt? If not, first check fluid levels, then leaks. If all ok, the pump is the easier to replace. Is this a diesel?
