1999 Ford F350 fuel leak

I have had a leak twice when starting my diesel in very cold temps when not plugged in -5 to 10 F. the fuel seems to come out of the fuel filter housing lid but it stops after letting it idle a couple of min It does not seem to happen with it warmer or plugged in Thank you

Have you replaced the filter/gasket yet?

yes it was replaced

Be aware that there are "different lid/filter" combinations - I've seen a new filter that came WITH a lid and filters not compatable with lid, etc.. One time I saw an "incorrect" filter short the fuel heater in the bottom of hsng resulting in a crank-no start 'cause the glow plugs are linked to the same circuit... I'd inspect the gasket & sealing surfaces on the lid & hsng closely...
