The battery on my F350 is not charging. I've checked and cleaned all cables. Does this mean I need to replace the alternator or is there anything I should be checking first?

Use a voltmeter and test across the battery with engine running, should get 13.8-15 volts, if not you can try grounding the "F" field screw on the back of the Alternator for a few seconds to see if it comes up, if it does the voltage regulator is gone. If not the alternator, either way your has an integral regulator, I think!
