I have a question about the negative battery cable, One part of the negative hookup goes to the body and the other negative cable is not connected to anything, where does it go? It looks like it just came off. Can you please tell me where I need to connect this other long cable that comes from the negative battery connection? Please let me know asap. Thank you so much for your time.

Usually one lead goes to the engine and the other to the body. If it has dual batteries, one neg lead may go to the other battery, then a single lead to the engien for both batteries

Straight to the cylinder head or block, either one as long as it is clean where you bolt it up and tight
