1991 Ford F350 check engine light

My check engine light comes on but the connector that is supposed to be located in the drivers side passenger compartment firewall isnt there or under the dash. Is it anyother place on the car or did it somehow get removed by a prior owner

It's on the drivers side fender apron, under the hood...

Look for the EEC connector
