2004 Ford F250 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 165, 00 miles
My local Ford dealer has given me an estimate of $2,044 to replace the "EGR Cooler" on my 2004 6.0 Diesel. Does that sound like a fair price or should I seek another repair source. Thanks-
Jay

The EGR cooler is located on top of the engine underneath the intake. The turbo has to be removed along with everything else on top of the engine. It is a pretty extensive repair and if the cooler is being replaced, that adds some $$ to the cost of repair. Welcome to the wonderful world of the 6.0 DI. The estimate is pretty close.
