1998 Ford F-250 OIL CAPACITY

What is the proper amount of oil in a 1998 4.6 L engine with filter change? My Ford book calls for 6 QTS. I have a warranty that requires an ASE mechanic to do the oil change. The invoice says they put in 5 QTS. Did the mechanic. Mess-up?

Looks like 6 quarts (5.7 litres) with the filter for your engine size.
