On a 7.3l international with electronic fuel injectors my oil temp sensor shorted and kept the glow plug solenoid activated and ruined my engine and injector harness and plugs going to my injectors. I have replaced all of the failed plugs but still runs terrible. My thought is injectors bad how can I tell w/o a scan tool.

Hi dzldoc,

Sorry for the delay in answering and thank you for the donation.

Most of the components requires a scan tool to be used and for the injection circuit, it is a definite requirement. Without it you would not be able to understand the values of each component.

If you require information on how to go about it, I can assist on that.

Thanks for the reply. I borrowed a scan tool from my snap on dealer and found my injectors to be ok. Turns out both valve cover gaskets and all injector harnesses had been burnt up. Replaced them and now runs great.
