1997 Ford F250 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 240000 miles

I have a 7.3 diesel. This morning it started fine and ran for a little bit. About 1.5 miles down the road, it died. Now it will not start. It will crank, however the wait to start light for the glow plugs will not come on now. What do I need to check?

That truck has a recall on the cam sensor for that synptom not saying that is what it is but if your getting fuel and air it should start I use a rag soaked lightly in gas put in front of the air filter to see if it will fire if it does you have a fuel prob

That truck has 2 recall items one the cam sensor which may cause it and the brake master I think
