2000 Ford F150 Extended Cab --- 3 Coils have gone bad in a year. This is expensive! Is this unusual? A sign of a different source problem perhaps? Also, can a novice replace a coil in this truck without alot of knowledge or know-how? Thanks.

I though I answered this the other day? Anyway all that is required are basic tools. Easy to replace. Make sure they are not from the Zone as they don't last long. Also check the voltage across the battery, it should not exceed 14.7 volts. High voltage will burn out coils.
