2008 Ford F-150 oil consumpionl

New f-150 3,200 miles. Have not changed the factory oil yet. Checked oil level 1/2 qt. Low. Is that normal with only having 3,200 miles?

Most of the oil burnt up within the first 1000 miles.

U shoudl always change a new vehicles oil EVER THOUSAND MILES. It is bad if you dont.

Keeping it changed insures the parts are broke in with CLEAN oil and the metal fragments are gone from the new parts and not tearing up the block.

Change teh oil and change it everthousand miles for the next 2 thousand miles till your at 5000.

That is low actually for a new engien like that to be burning. Usually is more!
