2008 Ford F150 calipers locking up

I had the calipers in the front of the truck lock on me while driving(I did not engage the brake)obviously having sticking calipers would only apply if you actually engaged the brakes...........so how would the brakes engage if I did not ?

That sounds dangerous. Have you checked to make sure the calipers are tight and nothing is coming apart?
