I have a 2006 Ford F150 with a 5.4 liter v8 It has started missing and sputtering when running at lower RPMs. I changed the inline fuel filter and checked the air filter. I have checked the spark plugs and wires. What else could it be. The engine warning light has flashed a few timies but never came on and stayed on

The boots on the cop's could be bad. Change the boots and plugs. Plugs should be changed every 60000 miles. If there is a split in the boots it can ark and send a miss fire.

The boots could be a misfire problem, but it would occur at all speeds.
