2004 Ford F150 FX4 pickup. The truck starts and runs fine. Push on brake, brake lights work but the button on the shifter is not released to allow shifter to move from park. Fuses good, replaced brake switch

Check shifter interlock at the steering column
it has 4 wires
black should be ground at all times
red should be ground at all times
yellow should be battery power at all times
green should have power when brake light is on
good luck
