I own a 2003 Ford F150 that has only about 45,600 original miles. Just 2 days ago my wife was at a stop light and the truck turned off automatically twice after turning it back on the first time. Again, early this morning I came to a complete stop on the freeway due to traffic jam and truck turned off. I imediately set it on P then turned it back on and it work fine after that. Any idea what could be?

Thanks in advance

It could be a few things. First, have you checked for vacuum leaks? Also, has the check engine light come on?

Let me know.

Thank you for your fast response.
No, haven't checked for vacuum leaks yet. Check Engine light comes on, only when truck turns off. The Check Engine light does not turn on before truck turns off. Actually, it almost happens simultaneously: Truck off/ light on.

If the light isn't on when the engine is running, that is normal. Therefore, I don't feel it has anything to do with sensors. I would start with checking for vacuum leaks and check fuel pump pressure. If you need directions, let me know.
