I am sure that it could be many things. But I am hearing a popping noise in my left tire area only when I back up. Does anyone have any thoughts what it is mostly likely to be? Also what kind of money am I looking at to get this fixed?
I would appreciate some help.
Thanks Rich

First jack vehicle up, on wheel noise is noted check for play at the wheel, ball joints, or tie rod.

With it on the ground drive in reverse in a large flat area, with windows unrolled, turn vehicle thorught range of motion in forward and reverse, do you notice any clicking popping noises?
