2003 Ford F-150 Stalling at a stop

2003 Ford F-150 V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

My p/u stalls almost every time I stop at a corner. Also spits and sputters at low idle. I have to put transmission in neutral and rev the rpm's up to keep from stalling. I changed the idle air control to no avail. Also found a split in a small vacuum hose going to throttle body. Replaced that also. This has been going on for about 3 weeks, and is getting VERY ANNOYING. Can anyone help?

Have you cleaned the throttle plate? And are there any set fault codes, not all codes will set a MIL.

No I have not cleaned throttle body. Not sure if I know how. As far as codes. Yes, don't remember the number, but it stated idle air control. Service engine soon light is on also.
