When I first start my truck in the morning it idles rough likes it as a big cam in it. But after about a minute it stops and starts to runs smooth. I noticed it happened at work when it started it after it sat all day for 8 hours but about 30 seconds later it ran smooth. Can you give me an idea what this might be.

First off is the check engine light on? If not no worries. Now what I would like to have checked is the coolant temp sensor. You simply unplug the sensor (near thermostat) and then with a digital multi meter ohm the sensor across the terminals and do this cold. Get back to me with the ohms and air temp at the time and I will look it up to see if it is bad.

I did have engine codes that said misfire in cylinder 1 also EVAP leak. I talked to a mechanic he said it could be the air idle control valve he recommended me to try and clean with carb cleaner which I did and the problem is gone. Thanks for your help.
