2002 Ford F-150 engine pinging

2002 f150 120000, just started today, pinging /knocking during load, without transmission in gear no ping. Pings in all gears, I get regular oil changes and use 87 octane. What is the problem

Engine could be overheating, an EGR valve that's not opening and a knock sensor not retarding the timing

I talked to ford dealer. What about possible spark knock.

Spark knock/detonation/pinging its the same thing other than preignition
