2002 Ford F-150 SPUTTERING THEN SHUTS OFF FOR AWHILE

The truck will run for awhile then I turn it off then it wont start but if it does start it acts like its not getting gas. I changed the fuel filter and spark plugs. Also when im driving it sputters then shuts off. I put injector clean in the gas. Still not helping. It shut down yesterday and wouldnt start back up but it did this morning. Somebody help

Have you checked fuel pump pressure? Also, when it doesn't start, can you hear the fuel pump run for a second or two when you first turn the key on?

Im ingnorant when it comes to cars. How do you check fuel pump pressure?
And how can you tell if its working?
Should I just get a new pump

As far as checking fuel pressure, here is a how to. You will need a pressure gauge. Most parts stores will lend or rent them.
