My Ford F150 will start sometimes but only when cold. It runs fine but if you turn it off it will not restart. The starter was replaced and I think it's a electrical problem. Is it the relay or what?

Hi av8rbill. Welcome to the forum. What does "not restart" mean? Since you replaced the starter, I assume you mean it doesn't crank, not that it cranks but won't run. A common cause of an intermittent no-crank on Fords is loose terminal nuts on the starter relay. The symptom will be a kind of loud clunk is heard when turning the ignition switch to "crank" but the starter won't spin. If you don't hear that clunk, suspect the ignition switch itself or the wiring to the relay. A test light will be the best choice to find the problem.
