My a/c went out and shortly after, I started smelling antifreeze or odor coming from a/c vents when I started using heater. It has an external leak on the right side of the engine at firewall close to the condensation tube but its not coming from there. Floorboard is NOT wet with antifreeze. When you turn heater on, the windshield fogs up. Do you think this is a heater core problem? Other possible suggestions?

If the windshield is fogging up with coolant then yes you have a leaking heater core.

Yes the heater core is the prob. Even if floor is not wet core still bad just not leaking yet. First steam or odor then wet floorboard
