My truck has a vibration thats not anything to do with tire balance or half shafts or rear driveline yet it appears to be driveline related by the freaquency of the vibration.

Been told its possibly in the transmission.

It starts about 56mph and will not go away with an increase in speed.

It can be felt through the floor and slightly thru the steering whee.

it shakes the dash above 65.

If it is the trans. What part of it should I be worried aboutl

Throw it in neutral still do it?

What rpm ranges does this occur in? If you put the vheicle in overdrive lock out and go 56 and up does it still vibrate?

Not sure of RPM as I payed more attention to the speed.

Statrs at 56 and you cant drive past it.

.
The truck vibrates same in nuetral also as well as no change in vibration once it starts no matter if it is OD or not.

It will only stop once I slow below 56mph.

If its doing it regardless the gear and speed of driveshaft I would be suspecting a issue with alignment or suspension issues, or wheel bearings going bad.

Bearings checked OK drives straight.

Shox OK truck is smooth and operates within parameters until 56 mph and above, then it has the vibration and it is not a shake.

The truck still handles well while it vibrates, no noticable difference of drivability just vibration that buzzes the dash when it is at its worse and you can feel it in the seat and floor and slightly through the wheel but only because everything around it is buzzing.

I fixed my vibration.

For those that have a similar problem.

I got rid of mine by getting rid of a FORD.

Forever.

NO more NEVER again.
