The other morning, my truck would start (never happens). I got it jump started. As I drove to work, about 2 miles away, the driver's side electric window wouldn't work but the passenger side did. The speedometer was going crazy and I had my headlights turned off, but they were still on, and the air bag light and 4 x 4 lights were flashing on and off. CRAZY! It quickly got worse. A couple of hours later, I started the truck and it made a loud cllicking noise, the overhead interior light started blinking and it "clicked" on each gear as I shifted from "Park" through "Drive". I was told by a major auto parts store that tested my battery, that the battery was dead. I replaced it and the truck started right up. Ten minutes later, I was sitting still with the truck off and the key out of the ignition, it started buzzing intermentingly as if the key were still in the ignition and the door was opened. Now the truck stalls out all the time. HELP!

Good god! It sounds like you need a priest not a mechanic. (LOL)

When it happened after the battery was replaced, did the new battery go dead?

Let me know.

Maybe a priest would help! Most of the problems started before the battery was replaced. Also, for 3 days before this all took place it rain hard for 3 days. I thought maybe a leak somewhere and some electrical parts may have shorted out. Since I have replaced the battery, the lights and door problems have returned to normal but the idling on the truck has gotten worse. Thanks for the reply.

I need you to check something. Under the dash, behind the fuse panel, is a part called the GEM. That stand for generic electrical module. There were problems with them getting wet because the windshield would leak. Check it to see if there is any evidence of water damage or a leak. This just clicked into my mind when you mentioned the 3 days of rain.
