The right (passenger side) rear drum brake has over adjusted.

Corrective action taken: On 1/25/08 I backed off the adjustment screw and oiled the pivot points but not the adjustement screw. With a soft mallet I tapped the shoes to knock out any crud. About 50% of the pad is left. I changed the brake shoes about 3 years ago but did not turn the drumbs.

2/1/08 I noticed the right drum is hot and the left is cool. I also think it is starting to drag again.

What will cause the brakes to over adjust?

Usually a bad self adjuster.
