The speedometer and odometer has stopped working. At first it was an intermittent problem and now the speedometer suddenly pegged at over 100MPH. This happened while going less than 20 MPH. The odometer has also stopped working. All of the other gauges on the instrument cluster work perfectly except for the speedometer and odometer. This is a mechanical gauge cluster and not a digital one. Turning off the key does not reset the speedometer or odometer.
Thanks for your help.

Hello,

This is common when the VSS goes out vehicle speed sensor (#107). Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what happens.

Also if it has no cruise, follow the part where it says if cruise does not work. It's all there. The sensor is on the right side of the tranmission toward the tail housing.
